PP-10 Combined Cycle Project, located 80 KM West of Riyadh, is an extension to the Simple Cycle Grass Root Greenfield Project

currently in the final stages of construction by Arabian Bemco.

The new combined cycle will add 1,300 MW to the existing 3,400 MW plant, by adding 10 STGs, 40 HRSGs and 10 ACCs at Power Plant No. 10 blocks A1, A2, B1, B2, and C1, including all support facilities for converting the simple cycle power plant to a combined cycle power plant. When completed in 2015, Riyadh Power Plant No. 10 Combined Cycle will be the largest combined cycle plant in the world.

On August 2, 2011, Arabian Bemco submitted the lowest bid against tough international competitors with a value of US$ 1.434 billion. Participating contractors were Doosan Heavy Industries ($2.592 billion), NCC with Black and Veatch ($1.998 billion), Marubeni with Hyundai E&C ($1.648), Hyundai Heavy Industries ($1.485 billion), and TR ($1.481 billion).

On Jul 10, 2011 Arabian Bemco has received a letter of appreciation from SEC for the PP10 Simple Cycle project in recognition for outstanding performance upon synchronizing 32 units. This achievement enabled on time power production to support the network for the central region and satisfy the peak summer load demands.
